Our New Chapter
At Mama Doula Canada, we’re proud to say it: we are a Brazilian-led, Latin-rooted collective. Our doulas and many of our clients share a cultural heritage that deeply informs how we care. We understand what it means to raise a family far from home. We speak your language: literally and emotionally.
We are now stepping fully into our identity, bringing culturally anchored, heart-centered care to Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking families, while remaining open and inclusive to all.
We’re entering a new chapter, guided by post-capitalist principles:
Collective care over transactional service
Conscious contribution so those who can give more uplift those with less
Equitable access through sliding scale and "pay what you can" models for groups and education
Sustainability in how we work, care, and grow as a community
We know too many families - immigrants, refugees, racialized parents - struggle to find support that respects both their values and their lived realities. And we know the traditional model of care is too often rigid, impersonal, and inaccessible.
That’s why we’re building something different.
A living, breathing network of Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking doulas, clients, and supporters, rooted in shared experience, mutual aid, and cultural dignity.
We don’t have all the answers, but we do have a radical commitment to what matters most: listening deeply, caring collectively, and standing together.
If you’re seeking support that feels like home, whether you’re a client, doula, or ally: this space is for you.
With love and courage,
Mama Doula Canada

Who We Are: A Collective of Care
At Mama Doula Canada, we are more than a team of doulas—we are a collective united by a shared vision: to offer not just services, but a collaborative space for care, learning, and growth. We are led by Claudia Pereira and Kle Peixoto, two experienced doulas who have lived, breathed, and learned from the transformative journeys of birth, parenting, and the postpartum period.
Claudia, an expert in maternal and neonatal care, brings her deep understanding of the practical challenges and joys of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. With her, you will find not just expertise, but compassion and unwavering commitment to helping families create individualized, supported experiences.

Kle, an international-trained obstetric nurse, GentleBirth instructor, and a passionate artist, brings her unique blend of medical knowledge, creative expression, and a deep-rooted dedication to supporting families through birth and beyond.
Together, we are a diverse team of doulas, birth educators, lactation consultants, and sleep specialists who approach each family with a mindset of care, not as a service, but as a birthright. Our mission has always been to provide support grounded in evidence, empathy, and respect for each family's unique path, whether they're in Canada or abroad.
