I highly recommend Mama Doula to any family looking for emotional and professional support. Kle came on the day after we were discharged from the hospital, exactly when we were scared and lost the most. She was able to answer all of our questions (and they were a lot), gave useful insights and tips, shared important links/materials and also helped me start my breastfeeding journey which has been a huge challenge. I highly recommend using Mama Doula! Marcia was our Doula for my first pregnancy and she was amazing. I was so anxious for this new chapter however, Marcia comforted me and calmed every nerve I had. She was very informative and thorough and I honestly don’t know how I could have done it without her. Thank you so much Marcia!

My partner and I loved the services offered by Claudia. We had 2 appointments before the birth that allowed us to ask lots of questions and feel comfortable for the big day. Claudia replied to any and all questions promptly over Whatsapp between our meetings as well. When I was 40w+3 days I asked Claudia to come to my place because I was having contractions regularly. She arrived at 3am and at 3:40am my water broke, so we all went to the hospital. She stayed by my side the entire time helping me to manage the contractions and then after the epidural she helped with suggestions to keep dilating. Due to complications I had to do a C-section, but Claudia stayed until after 9:00pm when I went to the surgical room. Throughout the delivery, Claudia made a point of checking in on my partner to make sure he was doing well. Especially as I was taken off to the surgical room, she stayed with him and supported him while he had to wait before being allowed to join me. My partner was really glad that Claudia helped him as well, she made the entire process, especially near the end, completely manageable and far less stressful. After the delivery, we had 2 appointments where Claudia checked up on me and on our son. Claudia helped us with any questions and concerns we had. We highly recommend their services.

Did a night doula experience for my newborn with Kle, Claudia and Sara for 10 weeks. We had a wonderful experience. I felt for both myself and my newborn that we were heard, trusted, and cared for. Would recommend mama doula to any families considering having a night doula.

Kle was amazing with out family. She provide us the tools to understand better our baby needs. First, we have got a lactation consult and it was essential to our baby’s health. She oriented us showing the tools and the best to succeed with exclusive breastfeeding. After that we got the postpartum package and it gave us so much enlightenment introducing a Baby routine and using some techniques so he could have quality sleep. Pouco a pouco comecei a trabalhar a minha mente e a mentalizar como seria um parto perfeito pra mim e pro meu bebê. E acreditem se quiser, MEU PARTO FOI EXATAMENTE COMO MENTALIZEI!!! Hoje meu bebê está com 15 dias e posso dizer com todas as letras que sem minha Doula essa experiência de um parto normal fora do meu país teria sido frustrante. A presença dela na sala de parto, a preparação do ambiente com luzes, as massagens e técnicas de indução natural, os sussurros no ouvido a cada minuto de respiração, a hora certa de aconselhar uma tomada de decisão, foram imprescindíveis para que tudo ocorresse como eu havia planejado. Pois sim, durante os nove meses de gestação ela me conheceu a fundo e sabia exatamente o que eram os meus desejos. Ahh, e ela também foi um baita suporte para o pai, que estava ali do lado, uma pilha de nervos. Não posso deixar de mencionar também todo o cuidado que ela teve e ainda continua tendo por 6 semanas seguintes comigo e com o baby. A visita pós parto foi IMPORTANTÍSSIMA no processo de aprendizagem da amamentação. Além de outras dicas e informações para termos certeza que o bebê passa bem. We delivered our baby Nicolas with Sara. Her contagious energy, calmness and massage during the whole labor really helped to relieve pain and made a big difference for us. We arrived to hospital with 9cm and soon after gave the birth. Sara's presence made this experience much more gentle and we would pay it again to have her with us!

I really appreciated my experience with Mama Doula and highly recommend their services. I had the "whole care package", with in person visits during prenatal and after the delivery. Since the introduction to services and doulas, the communication was kind, informative and responsive, both in person and on whastapp. I loved the care and information I received from my doula, who was very accommodating with our preferences and schedules. As this was my first pregnancy, the support on labour preparation and breastfeeding helped me to feel equipped and confident for the labour and delivery choices, as well as for taking care of my newborn baby. I felt safer and more comfortable with the presence of my doula both at home and at the hospital I chose to deliver. I thought the whatsapp communication quite helpful on the postpartum.

I decided to hire a specialist for the birth of my second child mainly because of a previous traumatic experience that I had with the birth of my daughter, and it was the best decision I could ever make! Shannon is an amazing person, very knowledgeable, sweet, and extremely available! She helped me throughout my labour process, which started in the middle of the night. She got to the hospital on time and was amazing to have my husband focused only in me and the baby and not having him worried to make sure my birthing preferences were being followed by the health team at the hospital. I worked hard during my pregnancy to try and have an non medicated birth, and when I was in labour I thought I couldn’t do it, but Shannon was there by my side, making sure I didn’t give up on my preference, guiding my breathing and encouraging my at all times during the super fast birth of my baby boy. I have no words to describe the joy I felt bringing my son to the world with no external interventions. I know I did all the work, but having Shannon guiding me through the process was essential to help me control my breathing and pushing when I thought I could not endure anymore. As a result, I recovered from a previous traumatic experience by having a controlled pushing that helped me to not have any injuries this time.
